Laura Stephenson on her highly cool CRF250
John (Laura's Dad and my good riding buddy) and Laura again...
John and Laura's boyfriend Rick, doing the two track boogie..
John, Rick and Laura enjoying lunch break and the view over "Hole in the Ground".. Why is it when I say "smile" that a smile is never what you see after the photo is developed?
Laura and Rick again.. Notice the huge snow storm going on in the back ground. It was like that everwhere around us, just not ON us.. How cool is that? We woke up to 6" of snow on the ground in camp, went riding DUST FREE and had a GREAT day in the woods..
Until, that is....
I was just sort of bombing along the edge of this snow packed road, when the next thing I knew I was laying on my back (quite down the trail from the bike) thinking, "Oh, crap, that hurts.. BAD...."
Another view of the crash site. No sign of the "black box recorder" yet. Investigators are still trying to peice the actual chain of events together. Fortunately, alcohol was not involved for a change.
Woops.. This isn't going to roll too well any more. Oh well, I've been thinking about an oversize rotor kit for a while now - here's my motivation, right?
Turns out that I actually won - this tree isn't going to survive me shearing it off at the stump end..
Here's the track route I got our of my new Garmin GPSmap 60CS. Even though it spent the whole ride in my back pack, AND the fact that I landed on it hard in the incident detailed previously, I was able to upload track data and create this nice map of the days "course"..
